When i first got my cl there was a nice punch in acceleration at the end of third gear(kind of like a gsr). When i got my exhaust i lost that punch in third but gained alot from second gear. I just recently put my headers in and i noticed that there was a nice gain in mid-range in each gear. Also some of that third gear punch came back.
Any one else with a 2.2 liter notice this?

 

same thing here in my 2.2 auto. I use to screech in first gear without reving it up but after the mods I can't no more. Do this all even out the hp???? Because you lose power and regain it in the end with the bolt ons so really we didn't gain anything rite???? I don't understand.

becuase of the increased air flow especially from a larger cat back and cai u will loose low end power, so u dotn get off the line as quick, but ur 1/4 mile times will be faster. my dc 4-2-1 header and aem pullys definitely helped get my low end back to as good or better than when i was stock. also got a little bump in mid-high power. i can spin them in first with my auto if its 40 degrees or lower out. but know that it gets to 80 i cant really do that till nest winter. hopefull the 15lb rims im buyin and igntion setup will change that. its fun to burn out in fwd.
