Which do you think looks better? Though I have the 1st gen, I like the 2nd better : / In fact, I might be trading mine in for an 01-02, as the 2.3 auto is way to slow.

The 2nd gens had just come out when I bought my 1st gen and I thought the new body style was kind of boring.

Now the 2nd gen has grown on me and I think it looks sharp.
I think the '01 Type S rims really make the car look hot even without aftermarket rims.

2nd Gen CL's are very nice!! The look grew on me as well. I love the power of the cars. Very smooth. If you aren't happy with your 1st gen, you will be very happy with a CL-s.

I'll agree with liloj0414, but add something. 2nd gen interior and engine with a first gen exterior.

the 1st GEN body style is way more "unique" than the 2nd. I like the 1st better. Any angle you look at the 1st from to me looks nice.

Besides the fact that they get 260 hp and a damn 6 speed, you can get navi!!!! Oh and I honestly like the body on 2nd gens better too.

Eh, I love the way the 1st gen looks, 2nd gen seems a bit boring for me. Granted I would love the 2nd gen motor/tranny and interior

from what you said anything would would be an improvment over an auto 2.3.....why dont you look at a 1st gen w/ 3.0...or get something with a stick.. i can't stand driving auto's.

1st is better. the 97 looks like a 2000. kinda like when the supra

came out in 93 or 94 and it was ahead of its time.

2nd gen tranny is weaker than the 1st gen tranny also.

i use to think the 1st gen CL look kinda gay and to mommy like. But then it grew on to me and now I love it. Yea, they 3.2's are nice....but as mentioned before, they do look a bit bloated....

But I did see one at the street races once, blue, with a nice, clean body kit, dropped low as hell, prob 19's, maybe 18's...and have no idea what it had, but it was smoking peeps left and right....now that 2nd gen CL i liked....

I really like the styling of the 1gen... the 2gen looks like it is to round for its own good reminds me of a ford taurus actually... but they are really fast.

2gens have a few body kits out aren't there 4-5 or something? that is good, u can mix and match it ur up for that...

1gen looks better just dropped... 2 gen looks like it needs a full lip kit to look good when its dropped...

just throw in a turbo ur straight... on the 2.3.

I was thinking about getting a 2gen but not to sure the look does not really appeal to me... but it is a CL and the power is there. how much would I be loosing?? I still gotta pay just under 8k for this car
