People have done it in an accord so not sure why it is impossible in a CL. It will not be easy but I do not think it is impossible, sooner or later one of us will actually get to business and do this swap and we will all know what exactly is involved. I think the hardest part is to find all the sensors and everything needed to do the swap, I don't think the actual swap would be that hard

if you have a 2.3, honestly just sell it and get a manual 2.3, save yourself all the work and $$$ that would go into it.

unless you plan to do an engine swap too.

it costs a couple hundred bucks with a 2.3 if you know what you're doing, that seems to make more sense to me to swap it on a car you already know than to get another one

i think you are more talking about the 6th gen accord, cause the 5th gen accord (which is most like the 1st gen CL), never came with a j-series V6 in, so it will be a little different then most swaps out there

basically look towards the 2nd gen CL and TL sides for the actual transmission swap and such
THEN stay here in the 1st gen CL section for swapping in the 3rd pedal and such (since that part should not really matter if a 4 or 6 cylinder)

so basically you will just have to kinda combined multiple swaps into one swap customized to what you want to do

especially if the rest of the car is in good shape to start with; but then also how many 1st gen CL's do you see in manual...

I agree, why learn all the bad habits of another drivers mistakes when your baby already has been trained. She knows what you want, and you know what she needs. So give it to her. She wants the STICK! lol
