1997 3.0 Ball Joint -CREAK

161,000 Kms

Sounds like my front passeneger side lower ball joint is out of grease. Squeaking (metal on metal) sound, slight crunching sound going over bumbs.
Im going to grease it up for now, I searched and found info about a RECALL.

Would this still be under warantee since it was a recall even if its been so long since the recall ?
Im in Canada.

Thanks

The rubber bushings on the cl are crap, I had the same thing on my passenger side, to the point where the control arm and strut were coming forward when I'd stop, the bushings were so disintegrated that they crumbled when the bolts came out. Get it fixed right away, I replaced the 2 that were bad, then replaced every bushing a couple months later, but the 2 were needed. It was a safety hazard. Get those looked at man, I guarantee that the bushings are falling apart, the rubber bushings only have such a long shelf life. Get em replaced man.

we can just get the bushings for the lower ball joint? Any others we should change?

I am thinking of also changing the strut bump stop bushing.

Everytime I get into the car I hear I noise ::creek::. From me sitting down. Could it be a blown shock? The car doesn't really jump to much when i go over speed bump or sumthing.

The ball should still be covered under the recall, assuming that it wasnt fixed already. If you head to an Acura or Honda dealership they will run your VIN and let you know.
