18 in rims...

What does this do to the mileage? How bad? Is there something you could do so it doesnt F'up the milage for the factory/aftermarket warranty. I would like to get accurate speed AND mileage with 17or 18 in rims.

Just curious. Thanks.

Barely at all...

I have 18's on mine & it barely changes it at all... we were going down the highway & my girlfriend (in her stock CL) was going 65, mine said 63-64. So I am guessin no major difference though. Although... I could be wrong...

You can go to www.whalentire.com and use their "computations" to give you an idea of how close to "stock" your tire choice will come.

Enter info under "Shop for Tires".

The only way you can calibrate it is if you change the gear in the speedometer, or at least that is how it was in my truck

the recogmended tire size for our CL with 18in rims is 225/40/18 if you stick with that your speedo shouldnt be off at all and your gas milage shouldnt change either cause its the same dimensions as our stock 205/55/16 just with more rim and less tire orderd my 18s Mar 6th and does ANYONE know where they are cause my rim shop dont!!!
