Will 18's on 225/40/18 rub , the car is not dropped. Or should i go with the 225/35/18..how about the ride on each one of these?

im pretty sure it wont rub, as long as you have the correct offset, and since its not dropped. people run 18s on alot of 1st gen CLs

if you don't drop it the 225/40-18 will not rub at all... even with 1 or 2 inch drop you probably won't rub either depending on your offset. If you ride mexican style with your tires sticking out from the fender about 3 inches you might rub...

i have 215-35-18 and the only rubbing that has ever happened has been because of alignment and a loose fender

my rims are 40+ offset and i rub with 225/40/18, i was telling him today that the 35series is more likely to bend your rim than the 40

shit dont remind me, my friend drove my car and hit a big pothole in the road and now there is a tiny dent in the rim, its good though because he is gonna fix it real nice for me

Yup. My rims have 40mm offset. But I think that's as far as you can go. 38mm offset will most likely rub.
