105k service
I'm getting ready to take my car on for it's 100k major service, and I was just curious what people have spent for the service. I'm doing the timing belt and water pump, flush the tranny and brake system and repalace the cv boots and fuel filter. The total is about 1450 with taxt the dealership. does this sound about right or should I shop around. I've had all my service done at this dealership and it's where I bought the car, so they have always treated me well. Any feedback?

thats so much money.. oem part sites have he water pump and timiing belt together for like $100 fuel filter should be 5-10$ cv boots would at teh most be $30-40 so with that siad how much are you paying for the tranny/brake flush and installation????????

This is what I paid for the timing belt on my 3.0 at 105K miles:
Timing Belt $48.84
Water Pump $120.55
Power Steering Belt $17.60
Coolant $9.87
A/C Belt $21.65
Total Parts: $228.38
Labor $660.00
Shop Supplies: $15
Tax (8%): $72.27
Total: $975.65
So with all the other work you're having done, seems about right. My receipt for a tranny flush (all 12 quarts) was $140.65 at the dealer. I went to a couple other garages for quotes, and it was about the same price for the timing belt, so I had the dealer do it since I got a loaner, and I figured they're more familiar with my acura. Apparently the 3.0 is significantly more labor intensive than the 2.2/2.3.

the dealer kills you with their per hour labor rates. they overcharge for parts also, but thats where they make the money, in the labor. try a independent mechanic shop for prices, they will do the same as the dealer. Try to buy the parts yourself also. Dealers rape.
