Hi everyone,

This is the second time to post strange problem on 2007 acura mdx tech. When ac or heater on (it comes out more when heater is on), white dust or flakes are coming from air vent. I replaced a cabin filter, but it does not work for this problem.

I searched this problem online and found exactly same problem on toyota. They recommended to check ac evaporator which can dry out and flake off creating white dust (They also said it is aluminium oxide). In fact, it looks like white cystals from my air vent, so I agree it might be due to evaporator.

Anyone had same problems? I have an appoinment with dealer tomorrow, and any experience or advice would be appreciated.

Maybe this is only my problem.. I am really unlucky then..

sometimes the white dust come out of the vents if its really humid outside. and its not dust its steam (i think)

Are you the original owner?

Maybe the guy before hid cocaine back there and the bag ripped after hitting a bump
