Whats the best way to upgrade 07 MDX Subwoofer

Good morining, I'm new to this site and have try to search if anyone has asked this already but couldn't find it, so if someone already did sorry to repeat the question. I would like to upgrade my sub woofer in my 07 MDX but would like to know if anyone has done it. and is there a way to remove the factory sub assembly and build a box in its location to keep it looking as factory-look as possible. Not looking for over kill, was thinking about maybe one of those slim line subs, like the one JL, or Kicker makes. Any feedback or ideas would be great.

Doubt the factory amp could drive a real sub. I upgraded with a small box/amp and an Image Dynamics sub.

I've been wondering the same thing. I have two babies and have to carry around a double stroller which takes alot of room in the back. So I would love to have some kind of custom enclosure that replaces the factory subwoofer area and use the least amount of space possible and keep the factory look.

It depends on how much you want to accomplish. Do you have a Tech Package? I think the Tech has its own dedicated amp for the sub, the Base doesn't.

These might help:
