We had twins!

My fiancee and I picked up these matching 2011 beauties on friday. We have 15% tint on the fronts and 20 on the rears. Hid fogs are up next, or at least when I have a warm day to work on them. Im also trying to figureput the LED upgrade game plan for the tag, reverse, parking and dtrl's. I traded my 2009 tl awd and she traded an x5.

Please let us know when you figure out the license plate lamp LED upgrades ? I have done LEDs on just about everything else I could lay my hands on for the internal lights on our 2010 Tech/Ent and just have the license plate LED lamps left to do.

BTW the lights on the inside of the rear hatch look just great when you change them out to LEDs. 3 minute job is all.

Those might be next. I need some warmer weather before I attempt the tag and fog light upgrades. The misses wants the vanity lights upgraded to leds as well.

Actually I have not done the vanity lamps on the sun shades if that is what you're referring to. Figured those might be a little blinding if we had LEDs there ( right up by your eyes you know) so left them as regular old tech OEM.

Puddle lamps in the doors look good with LEDs - just the regular sized 168s will do fine.

tag lights aren't terribly difficult. they are just a PITA to access.

i've done all the LED upgrades in my MDX less the DRL and fogs.

nice pair of MDXs you have there.

I did the shades in the TL and since it was two bulbs in there, it was a bit much so i figured i would test it out since the MDX has one bulb on each shade. I should have pulled all the LEDS out the TL but i wasnt thinking ahead of time.

We're moving out of state in 18 months so we didnt want to limit ourselves on how to transport any new things we might buy. Also we didnt want to risk snow being an issue if we end up commuting for any period of time with northeast tyoe winters. I was gonna just upgrade to a 2012-13tl but figured in the long run I would be better off with this.

I completed the upgrades to the tag/reverse/fogs this weekend. The fogs and reverse lights were pretty straigh forward but OMFG the tag lights were a pain. I did mine first so i could be the test mule and spent the better part of 45 mins getting through it but I did hers in 10 min. Happy with all the results and pics to follow once i can get them both cleaned up. The weather here has been a pain with rain or snow every other day.

1) remove your license plate
2) if you want to play it safe, use masking/painters tape and mask off the area in and around the tag area. I didnt do this but it cant hurt.
3) unscrew the one screw at the bottom of the camera. You shoyld be able to lightly squeeze the sides and pull the cover off.
4) unscrew remaining screws up top. Dont worry about mixing them up, they're all the same size.
5) from left to right, pry the black panel down. There are two clips, one on each side of the camera. You only need to get the left one down and exposed. Be careful.
6) to remove the bulb housing, I think I used a flathead on the right side to pry it down.
7) once the housing was out, I unclipped it and then opened it to expose the bulb. i simply hit the unlock button to test i had them in right. AlsoTake note that this housing is assembled on an angle so be careful putting it back together.
8) reassemble everything
9) pat self on back.

Well after following many of the bulb recommendations that slim tl posted in his thread, I had some mixed results.

Front parking and corner marker led bulbs fit and look great!

Ive had zero success at removing the tail lights to do the rear corners so the bulbs are wasting away in my garage.

6k hid bulbs for the headlights diddnt fit right and I had to basically damage the bulb to get them out so ive decided to stay stock.

Both sets of hid fogs have had issues. My fiancees has a flicker and one of mine went out all together so im over that too. Waiting on some led fogs from vleds as I type this.

The led dtrl without the resistor caused an error code so after I installed them with a resistor, no code and they look great. I still have to work on pics after I finish the led fog install and can get them cleaned up a bit. We still have a lot of snow melt and more snow coming as if we need any more.

Led drl on the left and halogen on the right

Led fogs and 5k parking lights

The misses has mine which has the led corners that I finally was able to install in the rear.

My wife also wants to get rid of her Altima & get her a MDX, as far as mods I'm also looking into making the fogs bright white (I don't like the amber look) & if I could I would make the DRLs also bright white.

I may do the tritons at some point for the fogs but not till mid 2015. The drls are perfect imo so those are a must!

I finally finished the full led upgrade on my mdx last night with tHe LED turn signals but found out today I need an engine mount and belt pullet replaced. Thank goodness for the cpo warranty. I heard a chipring sound from under the hood when it was in drive or reverse which I didnt hear on my fiances. Dealer noticed the engine moving too much while shifting between drive and reverse whie I was letting them hear the chirp.
