Congrats man! I actually disagree with skirmish on this one, I think the facelift 2G front end looks WAY better than the prelift 2G. However the rear end of the pre-lift 2G is more attractive to me (minus the 2G facelift dark tail lights, I like those more) vs the facelift 2G rear end. I also LOVE LOVE the wheels on the advance in the 2G facelift. I mean the prelift 2G advance also had nice wheels, but those are nothing compared to the facelift ones.
Aside from looks, I really like the upgrade to the 6 speed, the softer leather, the paddle shifters, the updated navi, the active safety tech, and the cooled seats of the facelift model. Lately I have been considering a 2G MDX again, but if I was to get one, it would have to be the facelift Advance model and not the prelift 2G model.
Aside from that, the 3G is super watered down to me as well. They removed the muscular wheel haunches on the front wheels and the rear end is no longer fat. It also no longer has a sexy side profile like the 2G did. It now looks low and flat and wide. No longer sporty looking at all. Sure the 2017 lift model looks more aggressive up front, but from the side it still looks lame. The interior of the 3G model is pretty nice though and brings along numerous MUCH NEEDED (as in should have been there in 2007, let alone 2010 for the facelift) features.

^ I just Hope OP does not get the known oil burning issues on his facelift model. There is no amount of ACC that will make me love having to add 1q of oil every 1000miles.
But really in all honesty there is only a handful of people that will like that Beak Grille.
The early 2G looks way more muscular to me and its bumpers are actually more useful for the people (like me) who will off road from time to time since it has better approach and departure angles.

I dealt with the 3.7 Issue on my 12 Advance TL. But for us we work a couple miles from our house. Lol. It won't burn as much if at all. That was my experience anyways.

Ohhh man I absolutely adore the expresso interior on black exterior...
That is the only thing I dont like about mine is the Stupid Tan Interior.... Sadly it was a steal the price I got for mine so I had to pull the trigger on it.

NICE addition to the family!
I've had my 11 MDX Adv since Jan/14 and love every minute and +70,000 miles behind the wheel (getting close to the 105,000 miles service soon). My next vehicle will have atleast the same tech as my 11 MDX Adv because you get real spoiled having it. I was initially disappointing in the first ride home on the hwy because it felt a little unsettled, drifted between lanes, and a little squirrelly in the corners. New tires and alignment fixed all those issues and now very smooth and stable hwy cruiser on straight or curvy roads. The MDX is my weapon of choice once I leave the city limits for the open hwy.

Congratulations and that's a nice interior.
Between 2G & 2.5G i like the 2.5G too, also the beak grille was probably done right only on the MDX in my opinion
Man i wish I would have got an Advance back then (mine is Tech + Ent) with Blind spot monitoring & ACC, well the next car will surely have it(along with cross traffic alert).
