Tpms issues - 08 mdx

Haaaaaalp! I'm new around here and new to Acura in general so please forgive any ignorance 🤷🏼♂️.

I recently bought a used 08 MDX that had a few issues I was unaware of (and the seller conveniently decided to not inform me of). The most obnoxious one being the TPMS system error. Makes me want to burn the car 🔥 🚗

I have had the sensors in all of the tires replaced twice in the past 2 months by discount tire and I still have that incessant ding and msg and light(s) on my dash and screen. They have even reset them for me 4-5 times. Today it dinged at me almost every 10-15 seconds while turning on and off and on and off.

After trying to research could my issue issue be the TPMS control unit/module?

Since it is not under any kind of warranty I would prefer not taking it to the dealer and paying the $110 diagnostic fee just to see what the issue is then pay more from there.

Thanks for any help!!

Again, I apologize for any ignorance typed.

Not sure why it changed my emoji in that first paragraph. I am not a woman nor do I think women are ignorant. My wife is much smarter than I am. Sry. Just had to clear that up.

Did the warning error appear in your diagnosis menu?

Or did you only get the tire shaped icon display?

Hey there! I get the ( ! ) on the dash as well as "Check TPMS System" msg on the MID as well as "System Function Error" where it shows all 4 wheels blinking like there's no sensors in them. It will also never show the psi of the tires, only "--" next to each one.

Does that help??

Thank you for the reply!!

Try clearing the diagnostic message, with the engine not running.
Key in ignition ii position while in park.
press and hold 3 buttons on the console simultaneously, for 5 seconds...map + cancel + menu
turn the large knob until " xm (hip)" is highlighted
press the center of the large knob once
turn the knob until "xm hip ecu" is highlighted
press the center of the knob once
turn the knob (counter clockwise) until diagnostic info is highlighted
turn the knob until your error/message is highlited
delete the message (I think you have to slide the knob right to left, to highlight the word delete. I don't have any errors to delete, so I'm not sure.)

To back out of the process... press the "cancel" button
turn the knob to highlight "return"
press the knob
turn the knob to highlight "return"
press the knob.

Thank you! That helped! It's not screaming at me anymore! Now I just gotta figure out why I still have the ( ! ) light on!

Thanks again!!!
