Steering Wheel issue
 

Has anyone had issues with the leather on the steering wheel cracking? Suddenly, (and I do mean out of the blue in the last two weeks) there are a series of small cracks in the outer edge of my steering wheel leather, at the 12 and 6 O-Clock positions. I do not know why. Just very fine cracks, suddenly. Any input on what has caused this and what to do about it? I am a bit mystified.

When I was shopping for a used MDX, I noticed a lot of pitting and peeling on the steering wheels.

I bought a new wooden steering wheel and matching shifter knob, to address the issue.

Mine did the same and I got a wheel off ebay!

Good find @CSMeance - was it used OEM or a new A.M. replacement?

I wish I could find that OEM accessory one but they're all gone...

newish wheel, was sitting in a box since owner swapped out to the factory wood wheel when new
