Is it possible to add Apple CarPlay to a 2008 MDX T+E?

Hi - I have the Tech + Ent package, 2008 MDX, and want to know if anyone has retro added Apple Car Play by replacing their existing Acura head radio. I also have a lifetime subscription to XM radio, so I think that would have to be moved to the new radio. Open to any observations of those who have looked at doing this, or have done this.

Thanks!

It could be done by removing the NAV screen and installing an aftermarket radio? but nothing close to plug & play.

There is Navtool with Carplay that is plug-n-play module that hides behind the center console stack. It uses the existing center stack, navi screen, and steering wheel buttons to control apple or android phones. Have the option to do Carplay or mirroring of your smartphone (play videos on navi screen with mirroring). There a a few YouTube vids for 07-09 or 10-13 MDXs with Navtool to see its functionality or installation. It cost around $550+installation for the module for the +10 MDX Navtool. I think they configure as they are ordered because it said it would take 2-3 weeks before it was even shipped.
