Any ZDX+07-13 MDX owners out there? Do you know if the rear folding headrest will fit on the 07-13 MDX 2nd row seats? The current MDX 2nd row headrest are so large and block rear visibility. I was thinking the ZDX might work and can be folded down 95% of the time when it is just me in the vehicle.

All the parts diagram shows is the whole ZDX headrest (including the folding mechanism) and then the 2 guide pins (left and right) per headrest.

The biggest thing would be measuring how wide the current MDX Middle seat posts are vs the ZDX. I'd imagine it to work but the parts look expensive!

Have you thought about removing them in the mean time?

I have removed them occasionally. They are just too large to leave rolling around in the hatch and I forget to put them back on if I have 2nd row passengers. I figure the ZDX folding headrest would solve this problem IF they fit. I found them on-line for $131 each new and I haven't started looking at junk yards for wrecked ZDX (want to know if they would fit before looking).

The folks on the ZDX forum said the distances between the headrest poles is about 6 1/4 inches while the MDX is about 5 1/4 inches. The headrests are not interchangeable. Might have to look on-line to see if a shop can customize a headrest for the same price as purchasing used 07-09 MDX ones?

I'm assuming the 07-09 MDX 2nd row headrest have the same thickness/width as the +10 2nd row?

ah that sucks to hear about the ZDX headrest not working out. I feel the 07-09 MDX headrest should work for the 10+ and it should be able to fit... Interested to see as well.
