I recently bought a 2007 Acura MDX. This morning the radio wasn't working. Every source was just static. It was 12 degrees out when this happened. I drove for 5 minutes and tried it again and it was working.

Is this a sign that the amp is going? I also get the thump sound when the car is first started and it is cold out. I know there is a software update that may fix that issue but I had read it could also be an issue with the amp.
