Like many others here in this thread the navigation drive stops working correctly for whatever reason. Sometimes cleaning the lens will fix the issue, sometimes not. You could send it into Alphine for a fee (400+ nowadays) or buy a replacement drive (part# dv36m110) from China for $55-$65 and do it yourself, for those in Washington state, you cannot buy from aliexpress so grab one from DHGate.

just curious, how is this replacement drive holding up after a year? my navi on my 07 TL-S just died recently so I will be purchasing this replacement from aliexpress instead of the ridiculous $358 to alpine
