Nav System 2018 Update Disc. Multiple Cars?
I have 2 - 2012 Acura MDX's. Both have the same Nav system and Database and require the Green Update disc. Can I just buy 1 disc and update both systems or do I need to buy 2? I would much rather spend $150 vs. $300. Let me know if anyone has done this.

Only one disk per Navi with the 10-13 hard-drive based systems. The Acura site for the Navi update disk requires the VIN, current Database version, and device S/N to generate a one time alphanumeric pass-code you must enter to start the DVD update. The update takes about 20-30 minutes to upload from the DVD data and sometimes 2-8 hours to finish the download from the XM satellite system to complete the update (depends on XM signal strength and how long your are in the MDX per day). The disk is useless after that and you can't reuse or resell to another person.
They usually drop the price down to $99 per disk close late spring to early summer. I updated my disk last year around April when the prices dropped from $149 to $99. I've never seen the price drop below $99 for a new update in the 12 years since having Acura navi systems.

I Dont think you can use one disk in both but worth a try i guess. You can also probably buy one, create a copy and then try that in the other MDX, not sure of the legality though.
