So.... Yeah.

My baby got hit by an underage (thus unlicensed) driver here in México..

Damage Report: Cosmetically (No bent frame) to Driver door, Passenger door. Broken Sport Running Board plastic tip, Scratched fender wheel well Trim and Scratched rear wheel.
Luckily the car was insured so next step is for repairs.... Sigh...

Noooooooooo! Sorry to see this... Thankfully, no one was injured and the X is repairable. It sucks to deal with the hassle though, been there. Keep us posted Sir!

Hate to see something like this happen to anyone. Hopefully, insurance and a good body shop will get you back to normal pretty soon.

Yeah, I was driving back home from work so I was alone... Kid decided to swerve into my lane without checking mirrors, Thankfully his late 90s SATURN is basically all plastic so the damage was less severe since his car body basically snapped in pieces. Today is a holiday here in México so the Insurance Body Shop is closed, I have to wait until tomorrow for the estimate and repair schedule.

I hope so, Kills me to see the X in this condition but at least is drivable, It could have been far worse if the kid car wasn´t made out of basically plastic.

Yeah I know first time in my life I have been involved in a crash.
My work is here but my Parents have a house, So instead of driving everyday back to SD I decided to live here until my workplace changes.

Sorry to see your X got into an accident and best all you are ok. Well, it would a lot cheaper to get it fixes over there isn’t it? I know how you feel man. It happened to me once with my X. The truck backed up and crushed my passenger front door. The body shop ordered whole door assembly and and transferred all the guts and repainted it.

Sucks it happened, but luckily it is all just cosmetic. They won't even have to replace any body panels, save for the running board. As shitty as an accident is, this is really as best of a case you could ask for.

Dunno about the price since its the kid insurance who will pay? as long as its a quality job I dont mind... I got a quote from a local body shop that will repair the whole deal for 300 bucks..

Recent rains + the eternal dirt on the pavement makes a ton of muddy residue when there is heavy rain..

Went to the appraisal on the Insurance Body Shop... Will hear from them in 1 week.. According to the shop if they cant find the Sport Running Board plastic cap they will order the entire Board brand new.
