MDX Side Mirror Problem

I have a 2008 MDX on which the passenger side mirror never recovers after putting the car in reverse. It stays down and you have to manually (with the button on the dash) raise the mirror back to the default position. Is the only way to repair this to replace the actuator in the mirror? And if so, how difficult is this to do?

I don't know about the repair portion, but the reason is correct. I had this happen on my RDX & MDX.

yes bad mirror actuator. i've had two go bad on the passenger side mirror on mine less than a year apart (dealer replaced under warranty).

from what i understand it is not difficult to DIY. just dont' break the mirror. it's probably similar to the 3G TL (there is DIY there somewhere).

I have 2008 Acura MDX Elite. I have pretty much the same problems with the memory setting buttons working in sync with our two fobs. I have been told by the dealer that the mirror actuator needs to be replaced and wondering where I can find this information on the forums. Any help appreciated.

I bought mine from amazon for around $38 dollars shipped. Took 20 minutes to install!

I have the same problem in a 2005 MDX. Does the actuator come with directions?
