Smile How to get the Swirls out of Paint

I am learning new things about washing and waxing a car (mine is black) properly. I am a little OCD and hate the swirl marks on my new to me 2008 MDX. I came across this video -

And I decided to go with the Groits Polish and Wax kit with the 6 inch orbital Polisher. I am more of the weekender like he states in the video. Also they have many vids if you are the OCD type on keeping our car pristine. Even how to touch up paint properly.

Just wanted to share and say hello! Just got my MDX a few weeks again and love it! Had two TL's before. Glad to be back in Acura!

Larry is awesome and has done some awesome work! His advice is really good. Any dual action polisher can do a good job. It just depends on the person using it. Keep in mind that this is cutting paint. Agreed that it is less agressive but you can still correct paint with the right pad and compound. I'm going to create a thread with the pics from correcting my wife's car. Came out pretty well with a single stage of cleaning up the oxidation.

I do have some door dings to attend to. Otherwise I am forgetting the name of a wax brand that take many steps but if you do it right your car looks wet! I mean a deep, deep gloss.

Any of you guys remember the brand? If so have you used it? Think it is Zaino....

Zaino I takes a lot of work. You can get better results for a lot less work. Check out autogeek dot net and you will see what I mean. Lots of great detailing advice on that site.

On my 350z I have gtechniq c1 and exo v1. On my oddy I have black fire and recently hydro, and on my mdx I have a coat of exo and nothing else. All of those products are excellent and the gtechniq lasts a long time as in 2 or more years. You can even use opti coat and get permanent shine and protection.

Op, your car looks great btw.

It isn't called "show car polish" for nutten.... Initially yes, but not once you have it under control....I use the Z spray as opposed to washing the RL.....but again its sits in a time capsule garage... So Zaino is effortless ONCE you've done the ground work applications.....
