Good Deal for a CPO 07 MDX

Okay well im fairly new to the community, but I love Acura's so makes sense to purchase one. I drive a 91 Acura integra ls coupe. Nice but since Im a college student goin into my second yr. moving, people and things is a pain.

I looked at Acura MDX as an option since Im planning on financing a preowned car. Im looking around the 07 08 yrs. but all acura dealers Ive looked at are asking in the 35-39 grand price range. Expected a semi new car to be around low 30s to finance. Also will be doing a 72 month payment plan since I plan on keeping it for a very long time.

Sorry for the long post, just tryin to give u background on situation. I am looking for all packages sport, entertainment, and tech. for 07 or 08s. Looked at TL's but its going to be the same story so opt for a bigger car. Found a 07 CPO all packages for 35,888 b4 taxes etc. Is this a good deal? Live in SoCal which might contribute to higher price since resale value is very high.

just remember insurance is going to be higher on a newer vehicle, esp one that has an MSRP in the 50k+ range. As well the MDX is probably going to consume a bit more gas than your 91 integra does. Just remember with a 72month plan is 6 years! That means your car will be 13 years old by the time you are done paying for it!

In all honesty, if you are going with a new car stick with a TL. The TL is going to be cheaper from the get-go, around 25-28K for an 07-08 TL/TL-S! As well it's going to consume less gas and will be much more sportier when you want some "getup and go" and as well laid back when you want to just drive around town.

@ CSMeance

Well for me I could really care less for the value of the car after done paying it. I am planning on keeping it for a very long time til it breaks down on me and since Im home over summers i use my mom's SUv which is a 2003 gmc envoy XL which gets horrible gas mileage compared to the MDX. The car will not be driven around town when I head back to San Diego State a lot since I will live on campus. so Gas mileage will strictly be used for commuting on visits to family all over Cali.

Do you know of anyone who possibly went through the Costco Auto Program to receive discount pricing on new or preowned vehicles? Im a member and do not know if there is a huge difference in saving money. They want me to go and see which cars at dealers rather than just tell me an estimate on how much savings between the 30 to 40 grand.

If you have to finance a $36,000 vehicle over 6 years, I think you should re-think your purchase from a financial standpoint, especially for a vehicle that is used.

As to whether the price is good, more information is needed. What's the mileage?

@ Neteditor

Well since I am currently in college as a second yr. at San Diego State. I want an SUV since I have more access to more room for either friends or family since they visit often. I live oncampus so I do not want to purchase a new one since they are def. out of my budget for the things I am looking for. so i thought 07 or 08s would be my best option since they will come with a certified Acura Warranty up to 100xxx miles or 7yrs. and pkgs i want.

This Acura has quite a bit of miles for a 2 yr. old car so that is wat is bugging me since it has 45,000 miles. Most of the mdx's i have found at dealers are in the same mileage range and really hard to find one with less. There is a link on the bottom to see for urself.

I actually found another 07 and has 28xxx asking $34,000 b4 taxes reg. etc. so I may go for that one since I plan on putting a large down payment to keep payments relatively low. I do not care for value since I knoe they retain resale value really well but I plan on paying it off through college and keep it in case i start a family.
