Crunching noise in low-speed turns

Our 2012 MDX generates an annoying noise during low-speed, left-hand turns. Otherwise, city and highway performance is perfect. The noise seems to emanate from the front right of the car. The sound is hard to describe. It is not a knock, but a protracted, mid-pitch crunching noise. It disappears once the stress of cornering goes away. Had the car to the dealer, who replaced the RF axle assembly and sway-bar link ($$$!!!). No relief. The MDX has been a sweetheart up to now, giving us 93,000 trouble-free miles. Ideas?
