Cannot reset Trip A or Trip B on New 2012 MDX

I have read the manual and numerous posts on the web but I cannot get the trip computers to reset the mileage. I even toggled the reset trip A feature on fill-up and that's not the issue. In the TL as long as I was on the given trip screen with the MPG showing I would just hit the reset button on the steering wheel and it would reset... no such luck on the MDX. What am I missing?

On my 08, I toggle to the blank screen with Trip A on the bottom and press the button for around 3-4 seconds.

Thanks. I tried that with no success. Filled up for the first time today and it at least resets upon fill up, but it won't reset on demand. Annoying.

Just to review, the only way it works on the MDX is as follows.

Press Sel/Reset until Trip A is displayed. Release. On that screen, then press and hold down Sel/Reset until Trip A clears. Press again for Trip B and repeat.

If after getting to the screen, releasing, and then pressing & holding down it just will not clear, something is abnormal. This will work whether stopped or in motion.

vulches...If its any consolation, I had a 2012 MDX for a day back in April as I was almost considering buying one (ended up with a 2013 RDX instead) but I could NOT get the trip computer and fuel mileage to reset despite trying everything! I had a 2006 TSX, a 2009 TSX and now also have a 2012 TL and a 2013 RDX....NEVER had an issue resetting the trip computer so I don't know if there is a bad batch of buttons on the steering wheel or I missed something too.

Read page 92 (of the 08 manual) of the owners manual, there is a setting in the MID for auto-reset of trip A, if this is selected, you cannot manually reset.

OK, I finally figured it out! You cannot reset the trip MPG when the trip MPG is displayed (like any normal person would think possible). You have to switch the MID to any other view and then toggle the "select/reset" button between trip A, trip B and outside temp. When the trip A miles (not mileage) is shown you can hit the reset button. This resets the trip miles as well as the trip mileage under the trip computer screen. What a stupid setup, but at least I figured it out. Also, I still have the trip A set to reset upon refueling so it apparently resets even with this option selected.
