Any trick to remove camshaft oil seal?

Any trick to remove camshaft oil seal?

I am doing timing belt, water pump, fix oil pump leak, removing oil pan. Lots of work!! What is the trick to remove and install camshaft oil seal

Trick? there is no trick just carefully pry it off with a flat screwdriver. Be extra careful on not to scratch the camshaft shaft.

Might I ask.. Why are you changing these? are they leaking?
Because if they arent, you might wanna reconsider.... Those seals are not usual replaceable items, more like. Replace when they leak and that is very rare.
With those seals the phrase "If aint broke...." fits like a glove, specially the Rear and Front Main Seals.

i don’t know if they are leaking or not until I remove the camshaft pulley but I want to be prepared just in case they are leaking. I want to get as much info as possible before the tear down. It is not practical to ask for info while everything is removed. I have only one car and I can’t have it sitting around for days waiting for answer. You know what I mean.

You are changing the camshaft from your motor right due to scoring?
