Acura MDX 2005 TPMS issue
Hi all,
i have acura MDX 2005 with around 55K miles on it. Today i went to get all the 4 tires changed but the walmart guy told me that they are not able to take off the sensors from the tires and i will have to buy 4 new sensors from acura dealer. In addition he told me that the sensors are going to break if they try to take it off from the wheels. Should it try going to a different shop or is it a know issue with acura MDX.
Thanks

Yes, they can be removed! But they are old! The sensors are bolted in and they are probably rusted and will not remove with out breaking them. The Walmart guy is covering his ass, in case all your sensors break. Any shop that does the work could have to same outcome. Worse case, all are broken, best case none of them break. You will not know until you remove the tires and try to remove the sensor and valve.
