That is the PCV Purge valve solenoid...
As always = "If it ticks, It must be replaced".

hey Skirmich, how is X coming out! I hope it is all good. Did you replace your or try to fix the part? It is fixable or everything is molded in plastic? I am afraid if I spend $100 on a news part it will have the same ticking

Skirmich, what is the purpose of this valve? Shouldn’t I get some type of error code if the valve is bad?

I found the answer. That thingy is designed to tick. It operates on a high frequency pulses, it opens and closes constantly and over time it gets louder which is normal

It is designed to tick though because of how a solenoid actuator works but it also has an internal damper that allows (In our specific applications) for near silent operation....
If it ticks its already worn out = Needs to be replaced.

As for my X, The insurance body shop hasn´t called... I guess they are struggling in getting just the Sport Running Board plastic cap.. If they fail they will have to buy the entire SRB assembly.
