2011 MDX transission fluid change cost (servivce A123)
 

Time for Service A123
3 is transmission fluid change.
Dealer wants $260 for it. that seems high?

Express Tire Change will do it for $59.

Suggestions?

I've been doing 1X drain and refill at the dealership for $100 every 30K for all three of my Acuras (06 TSX 152K, 08 RDX 159K, 11 MDX 123K). You should only do a drain and refill either 1X or 3X with Honda ATF only. No flush or suction process for 100% ATF replacement with Honda/Acura transmissions. I would take my own Honda ATF if the Express Tire Change will use it.

The quote I got was $225 for transmission fluid change and $70 for the transfer fluid. I'm at about 30,200 miles and had them check it at around 27K and it looked fine at that time

Warning: ONLY use the Gravity method.
Remove a bolt and allow gravity to do its thing. Put the bolt back in and re-fill.

Never pressure flush any Acura or Honda automatic transmission.
