Unfortunately, the Green Disc for the '10 MDX is still showing $185. P.S. The site says the sale deadline is 31 January 2011 for the others.

The 2005 models need that software update disk, I wonder if a dealership might have one and help you out with it...

So I called the number and they said it's an online only promotion. Therefore I can't be credited for my $200 purchase.

Guess I'll have to return this disc and buy it again. Saving $100 is worth it.

Is the sale only available online or will the dealership match that price also?

Hey i have a 2007 MDX with the original disc in the Nav so i was wondering if there is that that much of a difference between the one i have now and this new version

I mean does it look better or provide better routes or is it just an updated version with new roads and whatnot ??

TIA

Online I'd guess, dealers will probably say no and try to make you fork over 185!

It has new maps for sure, as far as features I doubt it. With updated maps, it should be able to give you faster routes if your area was updated.

Navteq really needs to update it's software for the Acura systems. I emailed them a couple years ago that the street I live on is mapped incorrectly south to north, instead of north to south. As a consequence, my home address is mapped about 500' further north from where it should be. Go figure.

If I go thru your link I see the lowered price but if I search my 07 mdx normally it still shows the 185 price. Whats the deal? I just paid 185 online a week ago!

Dude, you totally are my hero. I had the $185 disc in my "shopping cart" and thought I'd look for a coupon code before paying. You saved me over $90 when you figure in sales tax.

Thank you so much!

Same thing happened to me. Someone kindly directed me to this thread from and I used csmeance's link to order the Orange disc for my 2004 TSX.

Thank you!

2011 MDX database is old?

My 2011 MDX does not show a major street change in my neighborhood that was completed earlier this year. I just installed the 2011 update for my TL and that one is correct.

How old is the stock database in the 2011 MDX?

Keep calling back and try with different agents. Being nice also helps. They will not help you if you are barking at them. I ordered mine at the end of Sept and just called and got a price adjustment.

The Link is not working, however if you call in they will honor the price (at least they did for me anyway).

Question about getting a nav update. I was given a 2011 TSX as a loaner yesterday. The graphics on the nav display were different and more appealing than on my 2009 MDX. My question is if you get the newest nav update, does it change the graphics or appearance of the nav display or does it remain the same and just update the information? Thanks.

I have the 2011 MDX Advance ... So its updated.
However ... when you use voice to navigate to local street
and its not in the database the air conditioning system blows
max cold air on the driver !!

What a Blowoff !!

There may be 1.7 million US streets in the database
but there are way too many not in the local area.

There needs to be an update with local area weighting
and the system should say something like "No street in my database" or "Does not compute" instead of blowing max cold air on driver.

What a Blowoff !!

The only major changes that you will see is between the DVD and the HDD systems. Streets and POI are updated with the new disc but it still should be for sale for a 199 cents not 199 dollars.

Ack, sorry i missed the deadline. I wouldn't mind a new one though the streets haven't changed much in our area.

Does the new DVD include updates restaurant listings? The one that came with my 2008 is woefully out of date.

I ordered the 2011 when it was on sale. I've noticed the updates on some local roads, but this weekend I was on the NJ turnpike and I noticed the exit I wanted to take was closer than what the NAV was telling me, so I took it, while making the circle turns to get back on to the highway I noticed how the vehicle symbol was not on a digitized road on the map. So at least that section of the turnpike was not updated on the recent version. I did not bother me at first because I knew the area, but it worries me if I go into a town or place I don't know and this thing is telling me to make turns on roads that no longer exist.

To be honest I never used the 2007 version on that part of the turnpike, I can't really tell.

I got my "promotion" letter the other day. Only $149 for the new disc. Wow, maybe I should buy a couple.
