2010 Advance Pkg Rear Shocks/Struts replaced

I had my 2010 adv MDX in for a B-service and was told that I need to have the right rear shock replaced. Was told that it has a small leak and that the noise I was hearing came from the shock. Does anyone else have this problem? Let me know. Was quoted approx. $600.00 for replacement.

Sound about right for $600 for one magnetic shock. Actually, $600 sounds like a good deal if it includes parts/labor/alignment. I had my front/passenger replaced under warranty it was around $1000 for one front magnetic strut (excluding labor/alignment). I was still under the basic warranty and decided to get an Acura Care warranty for another 5yrs/120,000 miles because these struts/shocks can fail at anytime.

I've looked several times trying to find a cheaper replacement other than converting to regular struts/shocks with zero luck.

Thanks for the feedback. I also had both entire front struts/assembly replace twice within a 30 month time period. Once under regular and once under the extended warranty at over $3500.00 each time. Current mileage is at approx. 71,500 miles. Current extended warranty doesn't cover the rear shocks. "The Warranty Group"

The damn magnetic struts/shocks are a pain in the butt when they go out. Everything else on the MDX Adv is pretty solid except those.

I'm off the electronic dampening shocks completely.
I did my rears last month and my fronts today. (79,818 miles)
No problems with the nuts/bolts, so I think that the shocks were replaced by the original owner.
