2009 MDX takes two hands to turn at low speeds
From what I've researched on acurazine it looks like this could be either a bad PS pump or steering rack? My first thought was to the check the fluid level but its fine. It can be a small bear to turn at low speeds. doesn't seem to be getting much powered assist.
Am I barking up the right tree?
Thanks!

1.- Flush P/S Fluid first (Since its the cheapest option)
2.- Look for TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) done to the car, There was a TSB for changing the P/S Pump due to weak assist in low speed turns.
3.- Replace the P/S Pump
Steering Rack cannot be the issue as it does not wear out in a way that can lower its performance over time.. Steering Rack can mostly fail due to leaking.
Any more than that will require a serious diagnose in person.

My 08 had that problem of hard steering at idle/low speed. First I changed out the fluid, that didn't help. Then I replaced the Power Steering Pressure Switch, which did not help either and was a waste of $25.
Saturday I replaced the power steering pump with a new one from Amazon for $65. It steers easier now at idle & low speeds. It still takes a little more effort to turn the wheel at low speeds than most vehicles, but not so hard that it feels like something is wrong.
