2008 Leather Seat Replacement Covers
Anyone have tips on replacing the leather covers for the front seats on a 2008 MDX. The back and 3rd seat are fine, but the front ones would be nice to refresh w/o just replacing a few panels. Anyone know of a place that sells the factory replacement leathers for just the front?

You should contact one of our vendors:

See if he does anything for the MDX.

Somewhere on this site I found out about this dye:
From seatsrestore4u2 at gmail dot com
I got the 2 oz. touch up kit #MO1281 Taupe dye for $25
They offer a crack gap kit and clear top coat kits
It took care of the rubbed off dye on my drivers seat cushion.

They often have eBay deals and I know several guys on the mdxers . org site have them, including me.
I've had mine on for over a year and love 'em. Including tax, I got both fronts for under $200. I did the installation - about 1-2 hours. I would skip the headrest covers.
Example (not mine, but an example of the quality):

Yes, they fit snug right over your existing seats. They are cut for your respective model/year. To keep them tight, there are elastic bands that basically hook under your seat.
The back includes a large pocket just like OEM. And yes, they are side airbag compatible. There is a slit that is velcro'ed shut (you can see it in the pic). When the airbag deploys, the velcro opens.
Each time I go to my local Acura dealer, they always compliment me on my seats. They usually see cracked or torn seats in 1st gens (now given their age).
