Simple case of supply and demand:

Parts you want + not made anymore = huge price

If you want to play, you got to pay. Is it really worth it to you? Coming from the Corvette world, this is a constant as parts are discontinued. At least this is an accessory, not a necessary part.

There's a "make an offer" option. Just make one that seems reasonable. You never know. At least he'll get the message about inflated pricing.

Can't knock the hustle.

I believe it was $275 for the front and $260 for the rear. Something like that, but most places were selling at a 20% or so discount for accessories back when supply was high and demand was low. Back in 2008, it took me over a year before I saw another MDX with front garnish on.
