I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy an extended warranty for an '06 MDX with just under 50K miles. With so much technology in the vehicle, I'm concerned that any small software issue could set me back several hundreds of dollars. Is this a valid concern or are there more likely breakdown components of the car b/t 50K and 100K miles? Either way, is an extended warranty a good investment on an '06 MDX? All opinions are welcome.

I think so. My best friend did my financing at Acura and the main reason wast that he said most people come back to because the navigation fails and its not a cheap fix or the slight chance of a transmission issue. Most here decline but I don't have the money to fix the car if it breaks. I'd hate to look at a car everyday im making payments on hats not drivable...lol.

In our case, our $800 warranty was not only refunded but it ended up giving us a free car for 2.5+ years. That said, we did not purchase an extended warranty on our 2006 because we got it from a non-Acura dealer.
