2005 Acura MDX Steering issues

Hi
My MDX was having a few issues. Steering was hard and made a loud noise when turning and brakes were grinding. Ac wasn't cooling either. Brakes and calipers were replaced. Now no noise while turning forward. But steering is still very hard while reversing. My shoulders hurt by the time I back into my parking spot. Power steering fluid was flushed and filled yesterday. Is my pump going out? Can it be anything else?
thanks in advance

Seems that the P/S Pump is dead..
Try to power brake (Brake and gas it while you move) if the Steering does not lighten up then you need a new P/S Pump.

Question: why is the issue only while reversing especially doing tight/sharp turns?

It cannot be since the P/S always turn clockwise regardless of being in Drive or Reverse (So you should have the issue going both ways).

Thanks Skirmich. When I make wide turns either forward or reverse it is not so bad. But, in tight spaces the steering is extremely hard to turn.

Try to power brake (Brake and gas it while you move). If you feel the steering lightens then the P/S must be ready for a rebuild or get a new one...
In the 2G MDX there was a TSB for "low power steering assist" in low RPMs/tight corners, Solution as per Honda is to replace the P/S Pump..
