2003: Best headlight restore kit
Hi everyone.
1st post.
I recently purchased an 03' MDX w/ 190k miles.
Headlights need a restore for sure.
Can anyone give me suggestions on the best kit to purchase?
All I want is to get the best crystal clear finish so I can increase my visibility with halogen not HID.
I did a google and youtube search and got many differant reviews on which is the best. Most said Sylvania makes the best, others said 3M?
My friend recently did my wifes 03' Avalon with a 3M kit where he used a drill. Looks great. But not super crystal clear. And you can see scratch lines in the plastic.
is there a kit out there that will give me a better end result. Or a way to decrease the fine scratches?
Thanks
**I'll post more info on my vehicle and some picture hopefully this weekend.
Cheers in advance
* I don't mind putting in extra time and process' to get a more crystal clear scratch free finish.

Burning Brakes
I've done kits and they work, but within a few months, they will oxidize again. I wet sand my headlights now to restore them when needed. The results are based on the time and effort you put into restoring them.
So, I usually follow have several grits of sand paper to the very fine 2000 grit to finish off and reduce micro scratches. Once I've sanded until the lens looks clear when wet, I dry, and apply polish like PlastX and buff it clear. I let it dry, and then polish/wax.
