2002 MDX Rear AC Vent Noise Like Water Running
Hi Guys
So i've got 2 noises coming from the rear a/c vent. I've confirmed that by turning the rear a/c vent manual so its not from anywhere else.
First noise is like a bad bearing or the fan rubbing against something.
Second noise is more unique...its hard to describe but its like water running through a pipe...i just hope its not ACTUALLY water moving but i dont know..
Both noises increase if i turn up the fan speed.
Fan rubbing noise increases when i am braking or on a downhill rd.
I've googled it and searched these forums....couldnt find anything close.
I did get to the metal sheet that covers the rear a/c vent fan and cleaned it but hasnt changed the noises.
can anyone help?
thx!

The noise is most likely a bearing on the blower motor. The rears are not really known for having that problem like the front is. But you can remove the blower motor and check it by spinning the fan and listening for any noise.
The blower motor is at the bottom of the center console on the driver side, just the bad part is, is that you need to remove the center console to get it out.
The only rear problem that the rear blower motor has it the resistor goes on those, thats the main problem with those for the rear A/C

Updated: The water sloshing around noise is resolved. All i had to do was get the under the truck and apply a little finger pinch on the rear a/c drain hose and viola...water starts pouring out....see the link below for a pic.

My blower squeal has for the most part also gone quiet..specially when it grows louder with braking...however it does very slightly pop up randomly which i believe could be the bearing....
yay for forums!
