2012 MDX - Tech Package vs. Advanced Package?
I’m looking at getting a 2011-2013 MDX. What added features do you get when you opt to buy the advance package vs. the tech package?

The Adv MDX still has a lot of good upgrades over the tech like:
- Auto leveling HIDs
- CMBS, Collision Mitigation, Braking System
- ACC, Auto Cruise Control
- BSI, Blind Spot Info
- Active Damper System (ADS) with sport and comfort settings that also reduce body lean, dive when braking, and squat when accelerating
- 3 level heated and cooled front seats
- 19 inch rims
- larger front and rear sway bars
You can have the Entertainment package with the Tech or Adv with:
- front console DVD player (no dvd player on drop down screen)
- 2nd row ceiling mounted drop down screen with 2 IR head phones and detachable remote you can control DVD, CD music, XM, AM, and FM stations in the rear
- L/R audio/video inputs and 3 wired headphone jacks on back of center console (delete of 12v plug)
- 115v at 100 watts max 2 prong plug inside front armrest
- 2 way heated 2nd row outboard seats

Burning Brakes
Another note, from a maintenance perspective, the ADS shocks on the Advance are prone to early failure. Usually covered under warranty, but that may be slim now.
I have a 2011 Tech with RES and love it. I've read folks switch to the tech shocks to avoid paying significant amount of money to replace ADS when they fail.

I have a 2011 Tech + Ent. While I absolutely love it. I wish I had gone for the Advance + Ent as it has the extra features which makes this car future proof for many years.
So I would strongly recommend going for Advance.
