Matt's Blacked out TL Lowered on Vossen CV3's (Matts Acura)
oh you will!
Thanks! I was nervous they wouldn't work but... they did!
Not sure if they are corsa clones but they could be. The dude at the shop said he could tell they were High quality and had mentioned several times how much he loved them and wanted to get some in stock. They were just some tips I found on ebay but they were for transam and Camaros so they very well could be some Corse clones.
Yea Once I got them they kind of reminded me of the TL-S tips, did you get 4" outlets? Thanks though, I appreciate the compliment!
Ebay man! Got to love that site!
Lol thanks, Mikey!
Ebay; are we allowed to post direct links? some forums are funny about that. If so I will post a link to them.
Aye that I will laddy! (Fat Bastard accent)
I can definitely tell a difference. I always felt like the TL was a bit sluggish in the lower RPM's. It definitely gave it a noticeable boost in the low rpm range. Its hard to say on the top end but it does feel significantly quicker now. Nothing overwhelming but I really don't see you being disappointed if you got it. An FYI though if you get it I would use some exhaust wrap near the cross member area. Since you have some nice free flowing exhaust I would think you would definitely feel a difference.
I don't really think the AWD would have any significant gains over the FWD; maaaybe like 1 to 3 HP at best but that's just a personal opinion with no actual proof behind it. Its pretty common for a Jpipe or Ypipe on the FWD v6 nissans to add about 8-15 HP. I owned 3 maximas prior and could always feel a big difference from doing it (ypipe). I wish I would have dyno'd it but I didn't. I think the only real test I could do at this point is line up my car against user_error's car and see what they do from a dead stop. A lot of variable come into play then though so it wouldn't be anything definitive.
So regardless of my ramblings.... the car does feel better. I'd say it was worth it.

For those of you who wanted more pics.

If anyone gets these just be aware that they are an extremely close fit with the OEM mufflers. The dude had to weld the tip onto the actual muffler not the little tub thing that comes out and also had to cut the back of the tips (inlet) down about an inch.

There's Probably like an inch above the tips to play with. Dude basically cut it to the weld. Our OEM mufflers have a bit of a lip so the actual backend of the muffler is slightly inset, which he welded it to the area around the exhaust tip. Hard to explain but basically the tips are welded onto the exhaust not the exhaust tip that comes out. The inlet was so large that it swallowed the stock outlet. If the muffler hadn't been inset slightly they probably would have poked out a little without the rear lip spoiler. Those with the rear lip spoiler may not have to worry as much as I did. The guy did say though that he could have cut it down more but it would have been slightly below the weld.
you gotta get the Type S rear Aspec kit for em.
Thanks Steven, I appreciate it!
Ahhh yes from the arts and crafts hour? You should feel blessed that you got to be apart of my innovative techniques. Haha thanks for your help yesterday. Got some more on the docket very soon.
Little teaser until I can get the car cleaned

Thank for the feedback!

LoL with the Arts n Crafts... No Prob Bro, Anytime!... They look good... Let me know when you wanna tackle something else...
I guess you have rep the Jags with some teal since you're in Jax, haha. I'm definitely curious to see some more shots.
I painted my brakes / hubs black but unfortunately my 10 spokes hide most of it. You have the perfect rim to show off a nice brake setup.

(its painful) so teal it was! They seem to be popping a bit more with the sun hitting them. From a distance very subtle though which is exactly how I wanted it.
Ok so I decided to paint my rotors and calipers to cover up the crappy looking worn metal look. Thanks to user_error for spending a few hours of his sunday helping me get the wheels off and stuff painted.

Oh yea and I decided to vinyl wrap the large front blinkers. I may swap out the bumper down the road so I don't want to waste money on the awd fogs. Its a good stop gap.

Thanks Brother!
Thanks Steven, I agree
! Hands down the best mod I have done to this car. Thanks Guys!

Thanks Steven, I think the CV3's are definitely the best purchase I have made for my car.
Thanks Alexander!
I need to study up a bit on auto photography. Seems like maybe photography will be able to fill the void when I take a break from upgrades for a while. I heard Photography can be expensive too though! If I start talking about new lenses or crap I'm going to need someone to swing by the house and punch me in the face lol. I need to avoid expensive habits.
S = Shutter Priority This is an Auto Setting that adjusts everything but Shutter Speed you do that so you can either stop motion or show motion Faster/ Slower Shutter.
A = Apature Priority Also an Auto Setting you adjust the Apature which controls the Depth of Field or your Focal Depth this will allow you to focus on something and blurr the background or foreground.
P is Program Mode
M is Manual Mode which is what I shoot in where you choose all the settings Apature, Shutter, etc... You also have to use this when shooting with off camera lighting...
All settings altered will change something as explained above but all three settings will affect the amount of light or brightness of an image... You'll wanna shoot in the A or S for a while till you get the hang of what the settings do then move on to manual when you have a firm grasp of how they work together... watch some you tube videos they'll teach you alot...

Maybe, I remember telling my wife I should wrap the rim faces in some crazy color when I go to a car show. Maybe I did say green; haha definitely not the whole car though.
Was just messin with you bro!

Thanks man! When I saw the CV3's I knew I had to get them. I kind of wish I would have gone 10.5 all the way around but I didn't lol. Maybe one day I'll find a random 2 10.5 but highly doubt it.

Wow... that would horrible on a TL. Lol no I was thinking satin black.
