Sylvania only have up to 2011 models. Here's a pic I took, I will order a 2011 socket to use a 1157 bulb since my 3457 switchbacks won't work with my TL.

Just a FYI for 2012 models

Okay guys I did more research this morning and for those members who owns 2012 models Acura changed the bulb size to 3457 so for those who wants to change there led's switchbacks, make sure to order for "CK" sockets.

Here's a link that shows pictures of conventional and non conventional sockets

Did you order yours from ijdmtoys.com?? Just FYI, JlClighting don't have any "CK" bulbs, they're very laid back people and great to deal with but I wasted 2 months trying to figure this out on my own. Just ordered two set w/ 6ohms resistors and crossing my fingers. There website states their led bulbs are designed to work with both conventional and non-conventional.

iJDMTOY bi-color 57 switchbacks are on sale right now (09/04/12). marked from $46 to $34. if you use the coupon code "hotpic" during checkout, you'll get an additional 15% off.

the time for this mod is now.

Will the 3457 switchbacks plug right in and work as the 1157 on the older ones? I asked Jdm to fix my order.

the link is down, takes you to iJDMToys site, but not the discounted product, type 1157 in the search box and it should pop up in the results with a deal of the day price.

You actually have better options than us 09-11 TLs, just because you can get error free LEDs.

the reason you need the load resistors is because LEDs work at a lower voltage than halogen bulbs and the car reads that as the bulb is out or malfunctioning and hyperflashes to alert us on the inside to change it out. the reason we see the hyperflash on the outside is because the bulb is fine and its getting the recommended power that it needs. the load resistors take care of that issue.

Error Free bulbs (should be plug n play, no modification required):
http://store.ijdmtoy.com/3357-3457-S...ee-3156-2k.htm

http://store.ijdmtoy.com/No-Resistor...us-3156-2h.htm

Bulbs which would require a load resistor:
http://store.ijdmtoy.com/3157-3457-4...157_sku_3c.htm

http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Switchback-...3157_sku39.htm

and regarding the DRLs, going with the same logic as above, if you put in HB3 LED bulb in (thats what the 09-11 TLs have as the HB), your going to need load resistors aswell. You'll lose the effectiveness of your highbeams, but you'll get rid of the ugly yellow.

Okay got this info from ijdmtoys. They are sending me 3157s. I hope it doesn't screw my car up and I told them and showed them the info on the ck bulbs.

---

We sell these LED's on a daily basis and we've seen what is compatible with what bulb size, however, if you feel that it will not fit, we will have it cancelled for you. CK is a pin configuration, it is not a socket shape or size, our bulbs are non-polar meaning they will work with either CK or SRCK style configurations

Try them out and let us know the results.

In this forum (and all public forums), people try out new stuffs and provide feedback. That's how every member helps each other, share experiences, and learn to avoid mistakes/problems.

I have heard about using led flasher relays as an alternative to load resistors. Has anyone used these? On ijdmtoy's website it mentions just replacing the stock relay with the new one.

Completed my install last night, bit of a bitch working in such a small space and had some issues connecting the resistors with the wire splicers, was still getting the hyper flashing.

All worked out though and love the looks of it.

Special thanks to Big Mo for his spot on install instructions

Confirmed. The 3147's work from iJDM fine on the 2012 Acura TL.

Here is what you need to order if you want these to work on a 2012+.

57-SMD Switchback LED bulbs 3147/3457 as iJDM were correct. Their bulbs are non-polarity. They don't care which way they go or if they are CK or SRCK configuration.

Wiring color on the 2012 is exactly the same as this How-To. I will have to wait to get my DRL leds in as I think they sent me a screwed up order on those.

Here are some pictures of them in use and a video.

Ok, i went ahead and ordered the resistors and the adaptor that doesnt require any cutting/splicing. I called ijdmtoy and they said the adaptors are hit and miss with the car companies. Ill be the guinea pig.

Yeah, I found them on yelp. It's their physical store location, not a call center or anything that will be able to handle high volume calls. Based on the conversation I had with them, I'm going to try to adapter and see if it works. If it doesn't, I'll use the resistors that I also bought. Hopefully the adapter works because I don't feel like cutting and splicing anything.

Got the DRL installed finally. And IMHO, they seem to be a bit more purple in person than what I see in these pictures.

I tried an adapter for my rear blinkers and they did not work. The wouldn't fit into the housing either. There was no error message but there was hyper blinking. IJDMTOY then suggested I use 2 adapters. I am just going to use load resistors.

Give us some pics.
Yea they are on the slightly blue/purple scale but as I have always said " anything is better than that burnt yellow!".

More than a little purple. They look like purple lights. I had several comment tonight. They are coming out as I don't want to get pulled over for purple lights as I already got pulled over today for being slightly over the limit. :/ Will try to return them and get the right color.

Which adapters did you try, the 1157/3157 for the front blinkers?

I am in the progress of doing it. The adapters from IJDMTOY didn't work nor did they fit. I am going to use load resistors next. The bulbs I got from superbrightleds.com.

I ordered these.

http://www.v-leds.com/5K-WHITE-28-LE...-p8022474.html

To replace the crappy iJDM DRL 9005 bulbs which were very purple. These have good reviews everywhere I look above. Maybe only 28 LEDS but they are 13watts so they will be very bright.

iJDM customer service is pretty poor. When I had that one bulb they told me because of a manufacturing issue, they would not pay to replace them as I would have to pay to send them back. I told them it wasn't my fault they sent me those. Now these bulbs are not WHITE as advertised. So I am requesting them to take them back. I am sure I will have to pay, but at least I get some of the money back and won't have to deal with them again. If you get bulbs, use v-leds and not iJDM for good quality stuff.

Got them in. And they are much brighter than the ones I had from iJDM, and these are WHITE! My iphone is not picking up the color right but they are PURE WHITE. Not Yellow, not purple but pure white, and bright.

Low beams are 4300k color temp, leds are 6000k,so the way you get them to match is by getting 6000k bulbs for your low beams.
