Try not to take the terminology too literally.
"Blinky" was more for metaphoric effect......

so here we go,

I have been looking at all the kits for the tl but i dont want the large kit for the front. All i want is the lower lip, side skirts, and obviously the rear lip. Is it possible and what do i need to ask for? I have the 07 tl type s pictured above...; someone help me out please??
Check the link below...
https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/spec-kit-group-buy-under-%24750-shipped-802311/

Contact AckTL05 the vendor...he can set you up with the base a spec front under spoiler (if you dont like the look of the Type-S front), and the Type-S sides and rear for the GB price...PM if you have any doubts...he's a good guy, and he'll be straight with you.

Good Luck and congratulations on your purchase!!

I forgot to mention...if you buy the base a spec front under-spoiler for your Type-S, you will have to get a bodyshop or someone with knowhow to modify it to fit your Type-S (some cutting and fitting will be involved)...I was going to do the same, then decided that I like the Type-S front....what can I say...it grew on me....

yea ive been looking at pictures for the last couple days and i really liked the base lip at first. but the more and more i look at the type s kit, like you said, it grew on me. Plus i plan on doing wheel spacers becuase that seems to be the factor that makes the front look less bulky. Thanks a lot for your help BigPZ

Updates

So after a couple of months, I feel like I have made some definite improvements on the exterior of the TL-S. Tint is finally done properly by a really amazing shop up here in Northern VA called LA Tint in STERLING!! If youre in NOVA go to them, they dont mess around and they do amazing work. Also got the New A-spec kit from ACK and Curry Acura. Also got the front bumper plugs for the licence plate removal and looks so much better (I'm goning to take my chances) and the driver key hole cover to make it look more sleek. Looks awesome and I absolutely love it. Let me know what you guys think.

The next couple of things I have on the list are:
CAI
J-pipe
Throttle Body Spacer
ATLP Quads
"Acura" insert for the front bumper

thats all i have for now.. money is kind of tight

got the bumper plugs and the key hole cover from Delray acura at acuraoemparts.com. They were shipped to me painted and they match perfect. The key hole cover was 10 bucks and the plugs were 12 for both plus shipping of course.

A few updates... Attempted to do the dvd player in the center pocket underneath the radio and didnt like the way it looked, so i decided to mount it in place of the cupholders in the rear arm rest. Looks great, got the myron davis ad218 half din dvd player and made a piece of abs plastic wrapped in di noc to complete the look. Fits nicely and plays no problems with the arm rest up. Comes with an remote ir sensor that i mounted above the headliner at the windshield so i never even need to lower it until i want to load/eject a dvd

Also bakes the headlights apart and did the zkw-r lense swap, painted the uuuugly amber reflector, and painted the chrome piece brembo copper to match the color of the calipers. looks amazing and sets off the entire style!

Also did the blue bat mobile yellow overlays and the ddm tuning slim 3000k hid kit in the fog lights. I have always loved the look of the yellow with the blue, but could never find a yellow kit that had the rich yellow color, it always seemed to blead out to neon green. I can tell you that the ddm kit, no matter what their reviews say online, are killer!

Did the center console pockets in di noc carbon fiber and the shifter in the di noc also. I will post pictures of that when i charge up the digital camera.

Looks awesome man!

I love the Type-S headlights. I wish I had known you were baking/clearing yours, I would have bought your OEM diffusors from you!

I like how you did the DVD player too! I ran into issues with that stupid PS2 installed in my glove box...stupid thing wouldn't read discs (Seller screwed me) so I had to replace it..and it still didn't work so I bought another one...and that doesn't work either. FML. lol.

Did you get the Dom's unit for the video or the navtool?

How does that Myron Davis dvd player wire up? 12v and regular yellow/white/red connectors? I'm tempted!

got the navtool and the dvd player is a 12v dc hook up so its just yellow, red, and black for ground. And the beauty of the whole thing is when i go to sell the car (wayyyy down the road) everything can go back to stock and operational!

Holy hell man! How'd you manage that? Any pointers? I'd like to use that skill since I'm looking to buy a TL-S. I tried bringing down the price on two TLs last year but neither one of them would budge. Kind of glad they didnt know that I know a little bit more about the type S

Car looks great. What did you think of baking the headlights and re-sealing them? I really hate that Amber in there too on my type s, but I'm nervous about screwing up the process, more so the part where you put them back together.

And Im looking forward to seeing what you did with carbon fiber on the interior, i bet it looks sweet.

no pointers really.. just dont jump at the offers they throw at you... be patient. They want to sell the car as much if not more than you want to buy it. They want to make money too!

baking the headlights scared the shit out of me.. not going to pretend like it didnt. I baked them in the oven for 10-12 minutes at 250 degrees and they came apart much easier than on my old maxima. swapping the lenses for the zkw-r lenses was cake and painting whatever you want will take some prep. I got the lenses and the rubber butyl from theretrofitsource.com shipped for a good price. its not absolutely necessary, but for piece of mind, i would recommend the new sealant. i had done it before so thats why i had an idea what to do, but it still scared the crap out of me!

I am loving your car man. I have a NBP 08 TL-S and love the car. How hard was it to get the grill trim parts done? I think that would look killer on black.

I think I would be feeling the same way, and then once I was done, I'm sure it wouldn't seem like it was too hard. I think I might just remove the amber piece in there and toss in a ZKW-R lens while I have it opened up. I think I if I did that though I would need a new signal bulb though, correct? Have anything you recommend?

Nah you don't need to replace the bulbs. All you need to do is swap the lenses and go with it. If you take out the amber reflector though, depending on where you live, (almost Anywhere) you probably won't pass inspection without the reflector in there. I painted mine with vht nightshades which is a spray tint but still stays reflective to pass. Just a heads up

Interesting, I'll have to look in to that. I actually just looked directly into the headlight tonight and realized they are amber bulbs in there. For some reason I thought they were white and used the amber deflector to look amber in color, which is why I thought I would need new bulbs.

I really like your defectors actually, and I think they match the smoked type s housing nicely. Maybe I will go that same route to avoid any hassles with the law. Where does one find spray tint? Is it easy to use?

Advance auto parts or auto zone... It's made by vht and it's vht night shades. As easy to use as spray paint. Just make sure that you use the same number of coats on each reflector. Do it one coat at a time until you are happy with the darkness.
