Well, to be perfectly honest, I don't know what the final final price is going to be. However...we are taking orders on heeltoeauto.com NOW.
http://www.heeltoeauto.com/product.php?productid=65831
You can pre-order one NOW for $299 + paint and stuff, so if you for sure you know you want one of these you might want to order sooner than later, because once the final bottom line comes in you won't be getting this price again. It could be $50 more, $20, or $100. Too early to say. I need to get the pricing on the mesh and stuff. The emblem alone is a $28 part. So, there you have it.
As far as going a partial chrome, that might be a little tough. First it needs to be chromed completely, then masked and painted. We'd have to play that by ear.

whao so let me get this straight...if i preorder one now, i get it for 299 (unpainted) and if i order later, it'll be more expensive?! ok thanks marcus!! ordering as soon as i get home from school!
^That's a very reasonable price for a custom made item.
You can order a Modulo Sports Grille (painted) from a shop in Ontario, Canada for around $520 plus s/h. I was fortunate last year being able to order one from Japan for $400 shipped to Canada, that price is no longer available.

Just want to applaud Marcus for fixin' the potato peeler problem (yes, I'm a 2006 owner snarking on the 2G looks, sorry), this is exactly what I was recommending when the 2009 model was revealed.

The grille itself is done, and the mold is being finished now. But we are still working on the mesh we are going to use to fill the open sections. So we are ALMOST done.
Grilles can be made in carbon fiber or fiberglass. The emblem base plate will be carbon fiber on all grilles, and a new emblem will be supplied. Black chrome emblem will be an option as well. Utilizes all stock mounting clips

The grille and mold are actually made as of last week. We are finalizing the mesh backing we are going to add on there and then we will be done. Maybe another 1-2 weeks before we are totally ready to go.
