What is this group about?

 

Something must have happened in the last year to our group because it no longer exists on Bungie's site. I never received a notice they were going to close the group and such and they did do a heavy update to their site so perhaps they wipe them all and started over.

In any case, with Halo Reach being released on Tuesday, I've started a new group for us, still called "ACURAZINE". Feel free to search and join up. This group doesn't appear to be specific to any one bungie game, but instead just a way for people to share in the liking of all the Bungie Halo games. So if you play Halo 3, Halo ODST, and the upcoming Halo Reach, join up!

Couple things though, We need a motto (255 characters) and a team description (500). Any of you guys got any ideas? Keep it clean people!

As always please post up your XBOX live handle in the "Player List: XBOX Live" thread, so that people know who you are or post your handle in this thread, or both.

 

I believe you also need a certain amount of members in the group, how many were in the old one?

 

Been a while but we had at least 20+, maybe even 30+, IIRC.

Good news everyone!

Let's all try to logon at 8pm every Wednesday night so that we can get some online multiplayer games going. If we find attendance is low or it's just too hard for a majority of the people to get online on Wednesday evenings, we'll try another evening. If one day a week isn't enough, we could do a twice or three day a week thing too.

sweet ill try to join too... i have a question though, you guys know when you go to the armory in halo reach and you use the points you earn playing to purchase updated armor and helmets and stuff like that, well i want to know if that is only for looks or does it make it harder for others to kill you?

armor permutations have ZERO effect on gameplay.

it is appearance only.

 

I was on last night for about 45 minutes approx saw Fifty in an online game with one of his friends, didnt' see anyone else on. Hoping to get on again tomorrow night. Need to do some work at home otherwise risk having the wife get upset.

 

Question: After joining the group, does everyone who is part of the group show up on your matchmaking screen in reach, just like how your friends show up?

Or, do I have to add each person that's in the group individually as a friend to see them on the matchmaking screen?

 

that would have been the cool thing to do on Bungie's part, but since xbox controls that friends list they can't. Still an awesome idea though, you should send that in to xbox! if they could add a way for third party developers to create groups that can be displayed in xbox live, that would be awesome. Because you do currently have to add all those people yourself.

So what I'm hearing is, I need to have my laptop open while on xbox live to add everyone in the group as friends. @ microsoft

 

lol you gotta do that for any online gaming service..

but you could just do it all from your laptop silly..... go to xbox.com and add them there... just copy and paste

 

DIdn't know you could do that there. I looked but couldn't find that feature. Guess I didn't look hard enough.
