I'd go with Pilkington. My mom's 08 Mercedes C350 has it as OEM glass and it's resisted a lot of cracks from rocks hitting it (according to her). She does a ton of highway driving.

B) no idea on what it's like on a TL, but its pretty good glass if Mercedes-Benz uses it in their cars. My dad's GL450 has 80K miles and not a chip or crack on the windshield.

No dude, if you continually start thread after fucking thread without even a hint of trying to look for yourself then yes, you will get warned, which he did, then banned.
Did you read anything I wrote in this thread?

If you're behavior is called out by multiple people, consider the possibility that they might just be right.

Searching before posting a thread is a rule. Does everyone follow it? Heck no. Do we instantly ban members for not searching? No. We try our best to teach new members to search before posting and/or look in the 3G Garage. If you look at the OP's history he has 4 pages of threads where most answers are easily discoverable. He has been warned multiple times by me alone. God only knows how many times trancemission did.

Since it has been over a year since I've seen any reviews on OEM windshields, I thought I'd post an initial update. My 05 TL took a rock to the windshield which went from nickel size to over a foot in 24 hours. So the search began to understand windshields. Kudos to some of the posters on here with great info esp. the guy who had pictures of his APTech windshield both with the Honda label and without. Calling around my area no one (with good ratings) seems to be able to find the APTech glass. After some digging, I actually found the website of the company that makes APTech (http://www.agc.com/english/products/products_03.html) and from there found 3 contacts who are on the autoglass sales side. I emailed them asking how to get a hold of their product but haven't heard back from them...not an initial thumbs up for the sales team. So I researched the PPG brand which I've read a lot about here. You need to go to www.pgwglass.com and from there they have an auto division calls Prostars Auto Care (prostarautocare.com) . On this site you can find local installers for PPG glass. Finding installers was pretty easy, just enter your car details and it outputs a list of stores AND A PRICE QUOTE. Then the site lets you make an appointment for your chosen store. This is where things aren't as impressive. I selected from the website menu a Friday at 8am and entered my contact info. After submitting my info, the appointment was made and I was able to print out a copy of my quote. When I got a call the next day from the store I had selected, the Prostars site had sent them the wrong day (the very next day after I made the appointment) and the wrong time (the store had 10am). Lastly, the confirmation page made no mention of what kind of PPG glass I'd be getting. I had no idea if they have different grades for my car...it would have been nice to know that. They may have also passed on the wrong name b/c the guy was asking for someone else. Anyway, after correcting all the errors with the installer I'm scheduled for this Friday and did talk to the office manager who validated that I will be getting the PPG with the acoustic sound barrier (research this if it doesn't ring a bell). I'll post an update after I see how well the install is and how good the glass is. What they told me on the phone could be different than what I actually get.

I have a Pilkington on my 2006; the windshield is flawless.

I had to replace my windshield cause of a rapidly spreading chip crack and an impending state inspection earlier this summer and went with Pilkington glass from a professional auto glass shop that offered me the option of that or PPG(which they said is also an excellent option). The Pilkington is flawless like horseshoez mentioned, highly recommend.

I had PGW (PPG renamed) , put on a year ago without complaints. I'm sure Pilkington would be just as good. Just try to avoid Chinese and off brands.
