"DIY" front bumper modifications
Here is a quick write up on how I made my grille / front bumper.
Remove the front bumper, remove the factory grille, cut a mesh grille out from gutter guard(lowes or home depot will have). Insert the grill and cut notches where the factory grille would insert, so it pushes against your mesh grill holding it in place. With the factory grill I cut out the top and bottom lines oput leaving the center only.Quickest way to do this is with a dremel.I drilled a few holes in the center bar to ziptie the mesh to this factory insert. Next I sanded and painted the insert silver. During this time I mounted white CCFLs behind the lower grille.

*Trim the mesh where the plastic straight grill pushes in at.

*Lining up the mesh cut outs
*Notice the grey tabs where the mesh needs to be trimmed.
*Place the factory plastic line grill on top of the mesh.

*Push until it snaps in.

*Optional* Mount some blue cold cathodes (ccfl)

*Cover any wires and reinstall bumper.

*update*
Some of the pictures weren't showing up so I switched to photo bucket, so let's see if they work better on their server.
Here is with the Aspec front lip installed

I will have more to come as my projects progress.

facepalm
What sucks even more is that I'm going to have to rock that home depot lip for the time being because I scraped my lip hardcore.

Good job. The neon lights look ok, but I think it would look better if it didn't come through the emblem. Also, If you're gonna do neon, it should be subtle, almost like back-lighting. It's very tough to pull off on the TL.

How about creating maybe a shield for the bulbs so that it does give a backround effect...I think what's thowing it off is being able to see the bulbs directly.
A+ for creative though!
Since you had the grill off and you're not scared of the dremel...why not hit the lower Accord fogs upgrade too?! I mean, if you like it. Or at least cut out the black part behind the mesh in the bumper so the white ccfl's lighting fills in the whole opening.

Sezniko, kudos to you for creativity and vision. I wish I had that "out of the box" thinking. I'd love to see that live, because I'm sure the pictures don't do it justice.
No no no.
We appreciate the time you took to show us pictures and give a write up but honestly. That doesn't look good.
I would have left the mesh in the upper grille. THe lower grill and the neon lights are gaudy. IMO you need to lose all of that. You messed up a nice looking car. If you want to add a light show to a car buy a Honda Civic instead.
And where are your side skirts? That makes the car look even worst.

Here is my DIY home depot lip
Lots of pictures there.

Thanks for the feedback.
I would like to address some comments.
My side skirts are off because I was doing the a-spec body kit and they were being painted.
Not feeling the love for my neons, but hey I like them.
Yes the blue lights are illegal and I have been pulled over for them before on my last car. So far so good on the TL. They are for "off-road use only".
I tried white LED strips for the bottom grill but they were cheap and shorted out. I may retry a different types in the future.
I cut out behind the A logo so I could put blue LED strips directly behind the emblem. I will take pics of it with the neons off soon.

Good on you for taking a different route and exploring options, I just feel you have to much going on, like a light show. Keep it simple with a few clean lights and the result will be much more stylish.
Second attempt definitely looks better and i bet it looks better in person than it does on a computer so kudos to you for trying something other people wouldn't think to do. But seriously, leave those lights off when your driving, if a MD state trooper pulls you over, not only are you getting the ticket for the lights, but i promise you theyll make you take off your tint as well

jk, like some have said, the mesh looks great
