I have the setup that is described in this thread title.

My setup is =
Precat Deletes --> XLR8 Jpipe --> RV6 Race pipe --> oem resonator --> OEM catback (but with midmuffler deleted)

Under wot, mine is a bit louder on the inside because I have no backseat to isolate the noise coming from the trunk area.

Here is how mine sounds.

tenzingsherpa,

Estimated curb is 2964 lbs. Working on Lexan windows for the rear window and rear doors.

Happy to see your diet doing well.

If you wish, please feel free to add contributions to the TL Diet thread if you discover some good weight savings that I have overlooked.

10 months after the install, car is still raspless and running well..

Never got any CELs and parts haven't seemed to deteriorate at all..

I'm torn between doing the PCD+jpipe+highflow cat+stock exhaust, OR stock cats up top, j pipe, highflow cat and atlp quad exhaust when it becomes available. I know the pcd route will prevail best gains. and the other route might be alittle more sound friendly? tell me if im wrong guys, im VERY new to the V6 scene.

How does it sound with PCD all the way back into a atlp quad exhaust? havent heard u guys mention much about that?

Thanks
Yeah with stock catback the car has no rasp at all.. But then again its pretty tame sounding, except at WOT.. Pulls hard tho

I am still waiting for someone to post a video with fully cat-less to ATLP base..

So he used the non-resonated third cat replacement? And then the resonated third cat replacement should eliminate any rasp he has?

I have gutted primary cats and ALTP V1 J-pipe the rest of the exhaust is stock and dont really have rasp but I do have this annoying tinny noise at WOT. I was wondering if the resonated third cat would eliminate this.

thanks

The $999 price means they are out of stock. He will get another batch soon enough. They usually cost $300 brand new I believe? Or possibly less, also check the BM for some also.

I also would not recommend using the jack (such as the jack you get with your car/tire jack), have to get some jack stands and a hydraulic jack to even contemplate on working underneath your car. You will not pass inspection (in most states, check your states/region in the AZ region for more info)

If your catback is still oem with the oem resonator, oem mid-muffler, and oem mufflers, then there is little that can be done to reduce the rasp and volume level.

As for the go-kart sound - you could try different catback components to change the overall tone. However, the sound volume will probably increase substantially with most aftermarket catback components.

The PCD's are beastly. Little can be done to tame the beastliness.

If you wish to try changing the tone, here is some related reading material. The various resonators are discussed in-depth in the link below.

Inaccurate, in your video i cant hear the precats at all unitl you punch the gas. When im pushing it harder i wouldnt mind whatever noise they produce but if its also just by cruising around or on the highway then it would bother me. If its something similar to an intake sound behaviour then its perfect.

I just installed Richies JpipeV3 and im really impressed by the difference it made and the sound didnt change much. The intake got louder and the exhaust changed a litle, basically when you pay attention to it u notice it.

Regarding the precats would that also help with heatsoak under the hood and will it cause the loss of low end torque.

Im someone who doesnt push the car to its limits but rather someone who likes the car feeling peppy and light on its feet

I forgot to mention in my pm to you, can opt to install a chambered resonator on the stock exhaust to absorb the rasp
