hello everyone... i just stumbled across this old thread. this is a question to those running the 20" zdx setup on their rdx's... how is the ride? we just purchased a 2010 tech with the 5 spoke 18" wheel/tire package and was wondering if there is a significant deterioration in ride or noticable increase in road noise running these...
i was also wondering about the load rating. are the 20's able to support the heavier mdx, with potentially 7 passengers and some cargo as well?

[QUOTE=RNW77;12165004]$2K is a stretch, not to mention that the wheels & tires advertised are used and have Hankook Ventus tires mounted, not the OEM Michelins.

Rims are takeoff but those Hankook Tires are brand new, not used. Stated in the auction

20" may be too stiff for the MDX. That's why Acura only have optional on 19" for the MDX only.

Hi RNW77,
Did you buy MDX TPMS Sensors seperately, or will the ZDX sensors work with MDX.

Thanks

ZDX sensors will NOT work. You need to scoop up the MDX sensors.

Racinghart03, can you tell me what size and brand tires you are running. I got the exact rims you have a few weeks ago and have been searching for the perfect tire size, yours seems to fit quite nicely. thanks in advance.

275/45/20 Goodyear Eagle F1. These tires are NOT all season though. I take them off for winter so it was fine by me.

Thank you very much. I will consider these, but I am not looking forward to flipping tires. Hopefully I can find some continental all season in the same size. Once I am done with mine, I will post some pics.

ZDX Rims on 2007 MDX

I turned around and sold my OEM MDX 18's to a private party who wanted to de-PAX their Odyssey for the same amount I paid for the 19's. Bottom line: Everybody wins.

Hi Guys, I'm new to the forum. Lots of great stuff in here!
RNW77.... I know it's been a while since this thread, but I want to put those same ZDX rims on a 2007 MDX. Just wanted to confirm whether you used ZDX or MDX TPMS sensors? The fact that yours were takeoffs leads me to believe the ZDX sensors work.
However, since I will be purchasing rims only (cannot find takeoffs), my mainstream plan is to transfer the TPMS sensors from my existing MDX 18"s onto the ZDX 19s. Dealership says the ZDX rims require a differnent p/n TPMS sensor, and they couldn't tell me whether the MDX sensors would physically fit (gave me the "we'll have to try it to find out if it'll work"). Backup plan is to buy ZDX sensors, but the dealership also couldn't confirm whether those would be compatible with the ECU....

ZDX Rims on 2007 MDX

Apologies, I just posted to RNW77, but I see that RACINGHART03 looks to had answered the question (apparently in regards to different ZDX wheels, but I'm sure that applies to the ones I'm interested in, also).
Seems to confirm my mainstream plan of re-using my MDX sensors is the way to go!

MDXAccord, piggybacking on your other post, my suggestion is ZDX 19s or 20s. They look killer on MDXs and it adds some customization as you won't see another MDX like yours. Plus, the price is the same or even cheaper in some cases.

IMO, if you can find a reasonably priced set of 20s, I'd jump on it. Keep in mind new ZDX buyers (whether they realize it or not) are charged $4,155 (2013 prices: $2,540 wheels + $1,615 tires) for the upgrade from 19 to 20" wheels.

Greetings. New member. getting close to pulling the trigger on a '13 mdx advance. Might be in the minority but I prefer the shinier 18" wheels on the tech over the 19s advance. Just think the thicker 5 spoke suits the mdx better. Do any of you know if there's a 19" version of the 18 tech wheels?

Thx!

Welcome Timobi and good luck on acquiring your 2013 MDX. Currently, no, there are only 2 19" options for the MDX and neither are similar to the 5-spoke design.

We're collectively crossing our fingers that Acura offers a 20" upgrade on the new 2014 model, but production details are still pending.

For reference, the two 19" options for the 2013 are the aforementioned Advance or the 19" upgrade (in silver or chrome-look):
