1) It’s a 3 row crossover; not exactly something that appeals to car enthusiasts
2) it was last sold new over 10 years ago

There are other MDX(ers.org) forums that are bit more active.

Not sure what you're expecting to see here. But, forums in general have not been a popular method of disseminating information for quite awhile. People are more intriqued with swiping thru 5- 15 sec clips on social media apps, as opposed to reading or posting written text on what is essentially a virtual bulletin board.

Sure the 2G MDX is not exciting, but I wouldn't consider it a crossover. It's a utility vehicle. The 1G ZDX or accord crosstour on the otherhand.

Also, not sure I agree with the age of the 2G MDX being the reason this side of the forum is not active. The 1G TLX side is just as dead, and those cars are still relatively late models.

It's a unibody vehicle with a high ride height and designed to primarily ferry people around. It's the textbook definition of a crossover.

A crossover, crossover SUV, or crossover utility vehicle (CUV) is a type of automobile with an increased ride height that is built on unibody chassis construction shared with passenger cars, as opposed to traditional sport utility vehicles (SUV), which are built on a body-on-frame chassis construction similar to pickup trucks.

A term that originated from North America, the term crossover was initially used for any vehicle that blends characteristics between two different kinds of vehicles while, over time, crossover mostly refers to unibody-based SUVs.[1][2] Crossovers are also described as "car-like SUVs" or "car-based SUVs".[3][4][5]
