After doing a lot of searching, I thought Acura DPSF all wheel drive fluid was the latest and proper fluid to use for a 2006 MDX. I went to the Acura dealer earlier today to purchase the DPSF, the parts adviser stated that the DPSF is for 2007+, and that VTM-4 is the correct and latest fluid for the rear differential of a 2006 MDX.

Hoping others in this forum can confirm what the Acura parts adviser stated (and that my research was wrong).

Yeah up to 06 rear diff takes VTM-4
If you crawl under the back of the car there is a sticker either on the diff or subframe that says VTM-4 fluid

Good lo' Honda VTM-4 fluid. There's no knockoff you can buy at the local Advance Auto for it either. You might save a few pennies on it by buying it from a local Honda dealer. You can also order it from Carquest if one is near you.
