What to do with MM with really low miles
First post other than the introduce yourself one so 'Howdy'.
Read a bunch of the MID - when should I change my oil threads on here today before joining. This ISN'T on of those.
This is for my wife's 2007 MDX. It rarely sees much mileage; it has 36,000 miles after 4 1/2 years. This last year was really low since we didn't take a vacation and weren't able to go see family in other states. The book says change the oil according to the MID or once a year. This month marks the year mark since I changed it and that's at 3-4K miles. I'll change it this weekend I hope. MID reads 60%.
Here's the question: If you change oil at the year mark rather than by MID, what do you do with it so you don't loose track of the other services like rear diff etc?

reset your MID...let your car figure it out. it should figure it out. when you rest the MID it'll tell you what services were going to be due next...at least this way you can keep track of what the car would have asked for if you would have driven the car to the 15% service due soon mark. the car will ask you to reset or cancel. since you are doing the oil change at the 1 yr...get the codes that would have been thrown then press reset. you can either follow the codes say a B2 or whatever and do what should have been done.
ok i'm babbling, but i think you get the gist of what i'm trying to say i hope.
